Support our Independent Journalism
It has been four years since award-winning veteran journalists Robert Scheer and Narda Zacchino put their passion, wisdom, and experience gained over more than 50 combined years at the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Ramparts magazine and more into launching ScheerPost. Our site has become a top independent news source on the most important issues of the day, with its content having been viewed more than 12 million times by people from around the world.
Many of you have shared through our Network for Good forum, our site comment section, submissions page, and other channels of communication, that you have been with us since the start — some following Robert Scheer, Chris Hedges, and Mr. Fish (Dwayne Booth) even before ScheerPost’s launch. Original work from Hedges, Patrick Lawrence, Ellen Brown, Jim Mamer and reposted commentary from Ralph Nader, Max Blumenthal, Glenn Greenwald, David DeCamp, Briahna Joy Gray, Juan Cole, Michael Brenner, and more keep you informed at a time when mainstream media bias has come under scrutiny. We are honored to have your support to continue doing this work.
In addition to our current daily coverage on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, we cover issues of press freedom, U.S. militarism, the peace movement, women’s rights, foreign policy, labor, criminal justice reform, human rights, racial, ethnic and gender discrimination and more. We seek to cover the issues that impact everyday people and expose corruption of the powerful. We keep a check on threats to free speech and freedom of the press, with updates on the Julian Assange case, which can easily lead to smothering freedom of the press.
ScheerPost will continue to do this work, but we hope you will consider a donation to help us maintain our staff and columnists to continue our work and ensure a strong future. (Our publisher and editor work pro bono). Your contribution will be tax deductible. We are close to our $50,000 goal. Thank you for helping us to get there.
If all you can give is your continued attention to ScheerPost, that definitely will also be appreciated!
